Description

This stall has specialized in bulk frozen produce, ranging from fish, seafood, vegetables and readymade meals. Most of the fish is caught nationally, for example gallo de San Pedro, selected salmon and wild cod; under seafood, you can find Canadian lobster, Spanish lobster, Caribbean lobster tails, Mediterranean prawns, Black Tiger prawns, Argentine king prawns (shelled or unshelled) as well as Norway lobster. The readymade meals include sautéed vegetables, paella mix, steamed vegetables or vegetables suitable for cooking in a wok as well as some top quality starter dishes too.

This is one of the oldest stalls in Santa Catalina Market and has been passed down through four generations. It first started as a stall selling potatoes, followed by fish and then about 50 years ago, they embarked on selling the first frozen goods available with the help of their cold storage facility which, at the time, functioned with huge blocks of ice.
